Living Rivers Foundation is a member Urban Waters, a network of researchers, planners and practitioners that looks at the ecological potential of streams, ponds, rivers and lakes in cities. As an interdisciplinary research network based at IGB Berlin, it connects local, national and international stakeholders.

Urban Waters looks at river revitalization and river basin management in urban contexts, taking into account the interactions of freshwater ecology and biodiversity with water management and climate adaptation, as well as recreation, public health and urban design.
